As requested by many customers, callas software now offers its famous PDF verification and analysis tool pdfInspektor3 CLI for the Unix-based AIX platform by IBM. Users of IBM server systems can now utilize the established command-line module for professionally checking PDF files at the prepress stage or in online publishing.
Berlin, January 9th, 2007. With the new pdfInspektor3 CLI for AIX, users can now apply the well-known and established PDF verification and analysis tool on the Unix-based IBM server platform. As a command-line module that can be seamlessly integrated into any workflow, pdfInspektor3 CLI is based on the same PDF preflight technology that is used at Adobe Systems, the inventor of the PDF format. Licensed by callas software to Adobe, pdfInspektor has become a permanent feature in Acrobat Professional since version 6 and is a safe way of ensuring quality printouts.
pdfInspektor 3 CLI provides printers, publishers and media services the possibility to check incoming PDF files for production suitability already at the file acceptance stage. More than 600 individual properties can be combined to check PDF files for their corresponding special usage beforehand and to quickly locate and remedy faults. Clear and readily understandable verification reports allow a fast identification of problematic objects even within complex and extensive PDF files. Errors can be easily visualized via dialog boxes, commented or shown on separate layers.
The de facto standard PDF verification tool can perform a number of application-dependent checks for the most diverse printouts or the utilization of PDF on the Internet. For data acceptance and verification, many companies of the print and publishing trade already favor pdfInspektor3 CLI. One of them is Leinfelden/Echterdingen-based Konradin Druck from the Konradin Media Group, another is Sommer mediasolutions in Waiblingen near Stuttgart.
The server license for pdfInspektor 3 CLI for AIX costs EUR 2,499, the ASP variant for use in online systems costs EUR 4,999.
