The pdfColorConvert module is ideal for preparing PDF documents created in OFFICE programs such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint for printing. The Adobe Acrobat plug-in quickly and easily converts images, fonts, and vector data in these files from RGB to the professional 4-color CMYK format. It retains the brilliance of all colors used and takes into account technical specifications relating to the printing process.

In OFFICE programs, grayscale images and black and gray graphics are mostly defined not simply in black but in a blend of red, green, and blue (RGB). Unlike other color conversion programs, pdfColorConvert creates these objects on the black channel only during the conversion process to CMYK, rather than using all four CMYK color channels.

Select pdfColorConvert from the Acrobat ‘Plug-Ins’ menu. The first time you start the plug-in you can choose to open the provided sample files in order to test the functions of pdfColorConvert straight away.
