If you only want to send the objects on the upper layer that are not spot color objects for printing, you turn off the visibility of the spot color layers. After that, click the ‘Flatten Layers…’ button. This results in a PDF file containing only the page content to be printed.
To create various PDF files for subsequent further processing from a template, we recommend that you save several copies of the PDF file that has already been layered by the pdfLayerMaker module.
For example, in order to prepare and save the layer with the die lines template as a PDF file for further processing, select all other layers and press the arrow at the upper right-hand side of the user interface. A dropdown menu for the pdfLayerMaker palette appears. Choose ‘Delete layer and content’. You can easily edit the other templates in the same way and save them as PDF files for further processing.
