Actino Software releases Document Processing Services for automated PDF editing

Berlin, February 21, 2017 – callas software’s pdfaPilot is now also available in the cloud or as a web service. This is thanks to callas’ partner Actino Software, which has used the solution’s software development kit (SDK) to integrate pdfaPilot into the company’s own Document Processing Services (DPS) solution. Users can edit PDF documents to a professional level in their browser without requiring businesses to purchase licenses for each individual workstation.

The solution’s drag-and-drop user interface makes it extremely high-performance and easy to use. Users drag their documents onto a button designed for a specific function. This can be converting an Office file to PDF, PDF/X or PDF/A, or validating PDF/X and PDF/A files. PDF/UA validation (for universal accessibility) also represents a possible use case. Documents can also be simultaneously prepared and optimized on the server, with the result accessed through a download link.

These functions provide users with a highly versatile tool, as Actino DPS can be integrated into other processes. It can be controlled on any platform, from desktop computers to mobile devices. Meanwhile, administration and support are completely centralized.

Actino will present the new solution for the first time at CeBIT, on March 20-24 in Hanover. The company can be found at callas software’s stand (hall 3, stand B17).

More information about the new online service can be found here.
