There were many minor and maintenance versions throughout the year. I am talking more than 800 bug fixes and feature tickets being closed in 2021. This along with our major version pdfToolbox 13. I wrote a blog that has all the information about this version. If that is not enough, you can watch some of my colleagues talk about everything that is new in pdfToolbox 13 here. Another focal point of 2021 was callas pdfDPartner, which is a free Acrobat plugin provided by callas software that allows for viewing DPart metadata as may be present in PDF documents. Dietrich von Seggern wrote an impressive blog about that. Now that we are talking about what changed in our products, we released pdfaPilot just this week. Have a look at the release notes.
We fulfilled our promise of 1 blog per month and callas blog readers demonstrated strong interest in all of our content. There were 4200 blog views in 2021, up by more than 3% from the previous year. We certainly take pride in our 700+ article-strong documentation which we try to keep updated just like our products. Documentation wise, 'Create an HTML template for invoices' had the most number of views, followed by 'HTML based custom reports' (HTML related articles seem to dominate the views, can you relate to this?).
Of course, we wouldn’t have been able to weather the changes of 2021 without the constant support from our partners. Hence, it is time to reflect and celebrate our partners’ contributions to growth and service. We are thankful for the work we get to do alongside our partners and excited to continue to pave the way forward together.
2022 will certainly still be a year of many transitions, hopefully, these transitions will include shifting back to more reopenings and physical gatherings. But we’re excited to be able to weather through these changes and serve our customers, as usual. What makes us what we are is your constant feedback, so please feel free to let us know your thoughts.
